Life is the art of drawing without an eraser. I've taken that to heart. Drawing is my way of letting my feelings fly.
Whether it be a bright canvas of oranges and yellows, every brush stroke coming together to form a breath taking sunset, or dark graphite pencil, its crisp smell lingering in the air, all the soft marks forming the tear in the glinting eye of a crying masterpiece, I love it all.
Art is a joyous thing. Many want to celebrate it, but art is also overwhelmingly personal.
Try to imagine sketching every gentle dip in someones face. All the dimples, worry lines, full lips, and gentle eyes feel like an invasion of privacy.
I love drawing people I don't know, like celebrities. Mostly I draw the ones I look up to. For example, I have many drawings of Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester), Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester), and soon (hopefully), Misha Collins (Castiel) from Supernatural.
I don't know them personally, but when I draw them, it feels like I'm beginning to catch an exciting glimpse of who they are.
And most of all, I would like to thank my brother, Alex. He's stuck with me (no matter how painfully horrid the art turned out to be!) and pushed me to create something amazing. I owe this all to you Alex.
